More than just a hearing test!

Comprehensive Audiological Evaluations

A combination of medical history and results from specialized auditory assessments are used to diagnose the hearing problem. The
audiologist analyzes and reviews each aspect of the audiological evaluation to create a profile of hearing abilities and needs.

Tympanometry is one aspect of the hearing evaluation. In this test, we gently introduce air pressure into the ear canal and introduce special sounds that elicit a measurable response from the ear. Tympanometry measurements are valuable in evaluating the outer and middle ear. This testing assists in the detection of ear infection, perforated eardrum, wax blocking the ear canal, or other problems that may indicate need for medical evaluation.

Assistive Listening Devices

A variety of products are available to enhance your listening experience, with or without the use of personal amplification.
Amplified telephones and television listening devices are two of the most common products. There are also devices that can be placed in the middle of conference table and link wirelessly to your hearing aid.
Hearing Services of Cape Ann works closely with the school systems to provide the optimal FM system for your child.

BlueTooth Technology

"Blue Tooth" is a special wireless link used to connect cellphones, printers, personal data assistants, and other digital devices. This technology was developed in Norway and was named after an old Norwegian king who famously sported blue teeth!

Ear Molds: Swim molds & Custom-made noise protection earmolds

Floatable swim plugs can be made in a variety of colors for adults and children. Noise protection molds come in different styles for different situations (shooting firearms, playing in a band, etc.)
